Monique - Ladies of the French Court

The Ladies of the French Court will be dressed in gowns from the 1700's and very elaborate.  I'm very excited about doing these.  I love doing extremely detailed period costumes.  The down side is that it takes longer.  I hope you will think them worth the wait.

The porcelain dolls in this series were made by IGMA artisan, Bonnie Sanford.  Bonnie makes each doll to the individual's requirements, so they too will be unique.  As with all the costumed dolls I offer, each dress will be completely removable, lined and one of a kind.

Monique, the first costumed porcelain doll in the Ladies of the French Court series, has been sold. It was difficult to capture the intricate design and beauty of this miniature creation in the photos.

Her dress is one of a kind, completely removable and lined. As was typical of the time period, the width of the dress is quite impressive. Monique is wearing white silk decorated with pearls, sequins and lace.  Layers and layers of it!
